Kenya: Ebbie Noelle Samuels

Ebbie Noelle Samuels was only 15 when she was murdered in a place she should have felt most safe – her school. On 8 March Ebbie’s classmates reported that the deputy principal brutally beat Ebbie for styling her hair, which the school does not allow. Ebbie’s mother was called by the principal and told to meet them at the hospital. However, when she arrived, her daughter was already dead. An autopsy concluded that Ebbie had died from a severe head injury caused by blunt force trauma.
